Funeral Notices
A memorial Mass for George H. Kerr will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday at St. Rose Catholic Church, 2571 Nichols Boulevard, Longview.
Mr. Kerr, who lived at 1010 Douglas St., Longview, died of congestive heart failure Jan. 22, 1993, at a Portland hospital. He was 59.
He was born Dec. 1, 1933, in Elizabeth, N.J. He graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Western State College in Gunnison, Colo.
He served in the Army from 1957 to 1961, spending two years of service in Germany and attaining the rank of staff sergeant.
Mr. Kerr worked for Colgate-Palmolive Co. as an accountant in Jersey City, N.J. He moved west to Oregon and worked at Georgia-Pacific, Hannah Industries and Oilco Inc. and then retired. He moved to Longview about 12 years ago.
He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Democratic Men's Club, Multnomah Channel Yacht Club in Portland, National Rifle Association, and American Association of Retired Persons.
He and his wife, Ann Shirley (Vetsch) Kerr, were married April 30, 1976. She survives him at home.
Also surviving are a daughter, Stephanie Kerr of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; his mother, Esther Kerr, of Cranford, N. J.: and three brothers, Derwin Kerr, David Kerr and John Kerr, all of Cranford, N.J.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the St. John's Medical Center Heart Fund. At the time of the memorial service, all remembrances and flowers may be delivered to the church.

ESTHER KERR
AGE: 86 - CRANFORD
Esther Sackett Kerr died Tuesday at Rahway Hospital. She was 86.
Born in West Bloomfield, N.Y., she had lived in Roselle before moving to Cranford 44 years ago.
Mrs. Keer (sic) had been a teacher in Woodbridge for 35 years, retiring in 1974.
She was a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church in Cranford.
Her husband, George H. Jr, died in 1961.
Surviving are three sons, Derwin and John both of Cranford, and David of Lakewood; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Leonard Home For Funerals, 242 W. Jersey St., Elizabeth. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside.
