- Although U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007 (Ancestry.com) gives her birthplace and Minneapolis, the 1905 Wisconsin census says she was born in Wisconsin, as does her obituary. Both the 1900 US census and 1905 Wisconsin census indicate that her parents lived the Town of Dewey, Wisconsin, so that seems the most likely birth location.

Tillie Bautz
NEW ENGLAND -- Tillie Bautz, 91, Highmore, S.D., died April 15, 1993, in the. Highmore nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Monday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, New England, with burial in the church cemetery.
Tillie Sparlund was born July 13, 1901, in Wisconsin. She was a registered nurse and helped her friends and neighbors with those skills.
She is survived by three sons, Herbert, New England, Dale, Lewistown, and Juel, Lisbon; four daughters, Carol Schulz, Highmore, Elaine Schulz, New England, and Lois Owens and Mary Lynne Brandvold, both of Great Falls, Mont. (Price-Gaffaney Funeral Home, Dickinson).

Lyle Bautz
NEW ENGLAND -- Lyle G. Bautz, 57, New England, died July 20, 1989, at a Dickinson hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, New England, with the Rev. Darryl Landsverk officiating.
Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, New England. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday at Price Gaffaney Funeral Home, Dickinson, and continue at the church one hour before services.
He was born Dec. 27, 1931, in New England, attended rural Slope County schools and graduated from New England High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958 with the occupation forces in Korea. He married Marjorie Helleckson on June 26, 1964, at New England. They farmed near New England since that time.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Brian and Brent, both at home; his mother, Tillie Bautz, New England; three brothers, Herbert, New England, Dale, Shelby, and Juel, Lisbon; and four sisters, Carol Schultz, Highmore, S.D., Elaine Schultz, New England, Mary Lynn Branbold, Bottineau, and Lois Owen, Great Falls, Mont.
