      DEATH OF E. E. DUNBAR.

This place lost one of its old residents in the person of Mr. E. E. Dunbar, a survivor of the Civil War. Being twice married, for his second wife he married a Helen Swift, a daughter of George H. Swift, and for a period of several years remained on a farm adjoining her parents, formerly belonging to her grandfather. From there he went to Derby and engaged in the grocery business, still retaining the old farm which he often visited and loved. His business career was marked with success and the yearnings for the old farm and home became so strong that some three years ago he came back to spend what proved to be the remnant of his days, which came to an end on Wednedsay (sic) morning, July 24. His funeral was held at the homestead on the hill and the burial was in the Swift plot, Puffingham. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Charles Marvin of Derby and Mrs. Samuel Marvin of Waterbury.
