Services held for L. S. Martindale, pioneer resident
Last rites were held Tuesday afternoon for Lloyd S. Martindale in Harford's San Jacinto funeral home. The Rev. Ted A. Goodwin, pastor of the Union church, officiated at the service. Interment was in the San Jacinto Valley cemetery.
Mr. Martindale died Sunday morning at his home at First and Allessando streets. He was 83 years of age. Born in New York state on August 31, 1866, he came to California in 1907 and moved to San Jacinto in 1921. He had spent all his life as a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rhua N. Martindale of San Jacinto; two daughters, Mrs. H. L. Hyland of Colton and Mrs. Alice R. Boland of Long Beach, and one son, Lloyd, Jr., of San Jacinto.
Mr. Martindale also leaves four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Johnson of Long Beach and Mrs. Irving Adams of New York City.
