      Stevens-Lauderdale Troth Is Announced Here Today

      Mr. and Mrs. Sam C. Stevens of Senatobia announce the engagement of their daughter, Li11a Claire, to Lieut, (j.g.) James Abner Lauderdale of Jackson, Miss., and Memphis, Tenn.

      The wedding will take place at the First Baptist church of Senatobia on November 20, with Dr. H. L. Martin officiating.

      Miss Stevens graduated from the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Delta Delia Delta sorority.

      Dr. Lauderdale graduated from Millsaps college and studied medicine at the University of Mississippi and Tulane University at New Orleans. He is a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity and of Phi Chi medical fraternity. He is the son of Mrs. J. A. Lauderdale and the late Hon. J. A. Lauderdale of Jackson. He interned at the Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., and is now stationed with the Medical Corps at the United States Training school at Millington.
