Gerald D. Hoblit, 91 of Brookville, OH passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, April 11, 2020. Born on May 23, 1928 in Covington, OH, son of the late, Jess Albert & Fanny Oravia (Via) Hoblit. Retired in 1990 after 43 ½ years with Hobart. Gerald proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954.
Preceded by his Wife, Betty June (Davis) Hoblit in 2008; Sisters, Mary Jane Ellis in 1992 and Jessie L. Laughman in 2019.
Survived by his Sons & Daughter-in-law, Randall L. & Karen Hoblit, Rick Hoblit and Terry Hoblit; Grandchildren, Robert Hoblit, Susan Rayle, Dixie Hoblit, Chase Allan Hoblit, Mackenzie Rae Hoblit, Matthew Scott Hoblit and Jordan Hoblit; Step Grandchildren, Dennis E. McCollom and Elayna Myers; Three Great Grandchild; nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Due to the current health regulations, (COVID-19) a Private Service will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Arlington Cemetery in Brookville, OH. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, Lewisburg, OH. Condolences may be sent via www.barnesfuneralhome.com

Mary Jane Ellis
Mary Jane Ellis, 67, of 716 E. Spring St., Covington, died at 10:20 p.m. Monday at Stouder Memorial Hospital in Troy.
Mrs. Stouder was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and one sister.
She is survived by her father, Jesse Hoblit of Covington; one son, Charles Ellis Jr., of St. Paris; five daughters, Gloria Kohli of Houston, Doris Fender of Sidney, Charlotte Herron of Piqua, and Virginia Britton and Michaela Akins, both of Troy; one brother, Gerald Hoblit of Lewisburg; one sister, Jesse Laughman of Covington; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bridges Stocker Funeral Home in Covington with the Rev. Phillip Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
