Born to Thomas Benton and Mary Helen McCrory Clawson, Mrs. Elizabeth J. Durden, of Akron, Ohio died on Monday in her Glendora Avenue home. She was 68 years old.
An Akron resident for 52 years, she retired from Ohio Edison in 1967 after many years, where she was the head clerk in the application department. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Akron.
Married in Akron on January 21, 1928 to the late Arley C. Durden, she is survived by two sisters: Pearl Gillespie and Pauline Clawson, both of Akron; brothers, Donald W. Clawson of Key West, Florida and Ward A. Clawson of Ashland, Ohio.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery following service in Billow Falls Chapel.
