Mrs. Allshouse was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Essex, Iowa. Her maiden name was Elliott. She moved to Portland in the early 1950s. She was a cashier for the Salvation Army, a clerk in Newberry's and then a live-in caregiver, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Kern Park Christian Church. Survivors include her sons, Norman of Fairview, Ken of Vancouver, Wash., and Robin of Brooks; daughters, Glenda Slater of Tillamook and Kathy Sackett of Las Vegas; brothers, Lawrence Elliott and Floyd Elliott, both of Shenandoah, Iowa, Franklin Elliott of Red Oak, Iowa, and Tom Elliott of Blockten, Iowa; sisters, Ruth Cox of State Center, Iowa and Geraldine Foreman of Carol, Iowa; and 10 grandchildren. Disposition is by cremation.
