      HARRINGTON

      Jean Lobdell Harrington, 88, Phoenix, formerly of Lincoln, widow of John, died Wednesday (01/09/08) following a short illness. Born at Ithaca, N.Y. to Art and Betty Lobdell. Worked at Nebraska Department of Roads as their Librarian and an Environmental Writer (1968-1979).

      Survivors: daughter, Joan Balliett; son, Jack, both of Phoenix; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth "Juny" Ogden, Lincoln; and brother, Willard "Bill" Lobddell, San Antonio, Texas.

      Private burial was held at Phoenix Veteran's Cemetery.Memorials to donor's choice.

      Lorne George Balllett (71) passed away on August 29, 2008. Lome was a retired truck driver and veteran. He is survived by his wife Joan (Turtle) (sic), seven children and 10 grandchildren. He was born in Regina Canada and came to Arizona in 1954. He loved skydiving, fishing and hunting.

      There will be a memorial service for him Tuesday, September 9th at 3:00 PM in the clubhouse at Casa del Sol 10960 67th Ave. The family requests in leui (sic) of flowers, contributions be made to Hospice of Arizona.
