He attended school in St. Hilaire, Thief River Falls and graduated from Oklee High School in Oklee. Following graduation Keith enlisted in the United States Army at Fort Jackson. He was then stationed in Germany and was Honorably Discharged in 1993. He returned to Oklee and worked at Arctic Cat. In 1995 he moved to Thief River Falls and met and married Darlene on September 19, 1998. They made their home in Oklee and to this union the pride of his life was born, Bree Anne. He worked at Hugo's in Thief River Falls for several years and was currently working at Erskine Manufacturing in Erskine. Keith loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, golfing, frisbee-golf, and demolition derby's. He was a fun loving person, always out for a good laugh and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a very devoted husband and father. Keith was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Oklee, MN and the Army National Guard. He died along with his wife Darlene and daughter Bree in a house fire. He was 33. She loved her daycare provider, Vi Cote and she was currently attending preschool in Oklee. Bree was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she attended Sunday School. Bree was a busy, happy 5 year old who was very adventurous. She tried hard to keep up with what ever anyone else was doing and loved to feed the baby nieces and nephews. She loved her dog Burbon and liked to tease and be teased and was busy and cuddly all at the same time. She is survived by her sister and her brother and her grandparents. She is preceded in death by her parents Keith and Darlene Peters; great grandfather Orville Peters and great grandparents Jim and Leah Howard.
