      Vivian Deloris (James) Naylor, 89, of Losantville, died at her home on Tuesday, February 3, 2009.

      She was born in Carlos on August 28, 1919, the daughter of Claude and Irene (Whitehead) Brown. She was a life long resident of Randolph County. She was a member of Dunkirk Friends Church, Winchester.

      Vivian is survived by her husband, Max Naylor; 4 children, Richard Lee James (Diane) of Arlington, Lois Ann Clark of Indianapolis, Virginia Kay South (Steve) of Losantville and Jean Hurdle of Florida; 4 step-children, Jack Naylor (Barbara) of Modoc, Jean Walters (Burmel) of Nappanee, Judy Warren (David) of Anderson and Jerri Orcutt (Thomas) of Farmland; several grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren;
      2 half-sisters, Mary Keller of Lynn and Elizabeth Harshman of Spartansburg.

      Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 6, in Culberson Funeral Home, Modoc. Pastor Daniel Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Buena Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon on Friday.

      Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

      Richard Lee James 69, of Arlington, IN, passed away Mar. 14, 2017.

      A Celebration of Life & Military Honors will be Saturday 11 AM Mar. 18, 2017 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Rev. Dena Vittorio officiating. Friends may call at 10 AM.

      He was born in Winchester, IN Aug. 7, 1947, a son of the late Richard and Vivian (Brown) James. Richard married Betty Diane Beaty Aug. 25, 1974 and she survives. He retired after many years as a truck driver most recently working for Fraley and Shilling Inc. Richard enjoyed crosswords, model building and playing cards. Most of all, he loved his family.

      Richard was a Navy veteran. He served in Vietnam with distinction and was awarded the Viet Nam Service Medal with two bronze stars, Viet Nam Campaign Medal with devise, and National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the VFW in Muncie.

      Survivors include four sons, Richard James Jr. of Muncie, Jesse (wife Aubrey) James of Homer, Frank James of Arlington and Jeremy (wife Nancy) James of Shelbyville; two sisters, Lois Clark of Beech Grove, IN and Kay (Mrs. Steve) South of Losantville, IN; Grandchildren Dustin, Vinton, Lane, Eric, Skyann, Logan, Xander and Caleb also survive.

      Richard James

      LOSANTVILLE, Ind. -- Richard "Dick" James, 79, died Tuesday in Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, after a brief illness.

      Mr. James was a lifelong resident of Randolph County and had retired from Paul Abel Motors in Muncie. He was a member of Losantville United Methodist Church.

      Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Vivian; a son, Richard Lee James, Arlington; four daughters, Bobbie Jean Lamb, Selma, Lois Ann Burchfield, Indianapolis, Virginia Kay South, Losantville, and Jean Hurdle, Muncie; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

      Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Losantville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Buena Vista Cemetery, near Unionport.

      Calling will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Culberson Funeral Home, Modoc, and 1-2 p.m. Friday at the church.
