Homer Saekott
ELGIN Minn. -- Homer Sackett, 84, retired farmer, died Wednesday of a heart attack at his home.
He was born Aug. 11, 1884, in Olmsted County to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sackett He married Helen Brewster in 1907. Following her death he married Lua Dormady Feb. 18, 1942, in Sioux Falls, S.D. They farmed in the Lewiston area until 1959 when they retired and moved into the village of Elgin. He was a 50-year member of the Elgin Masonic lodge.
Survivors are: His wife; four sons, John, Somerset, Ky.; Howard, Racine, Minn.; Edwin, Anaheim, Calif., and Robert, Los Angeles, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Dodson (Ruth) Hays, San Pedro, Calif.; five grandchildren; four brothers, Robert, Lester and Leslie, Rochester, and N. B., Venice, Fla., and three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Griffith and Mrs. Austin (Effie) Dobson, Rochester, and Mrs. Amos (Mary) Heimer, Silver Springs, Md. One sister has died.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Elgin Methodist Church, the Rev. Earl Stephan officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gar dens, Rochester.
Friends may call at Johnson Schriver Funeral Home, Plainview, from 4 p.m. Friday until Saturday noon and then at the church after 1 p.m.
