MRS. HENRY LUPTON
Mrs. Jennett A. Lupton of 447 Went Fifth street, one of the, oldest residents of Elmira, died Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, at the home of her son, Wilbur Lupton at Wilawana, Pa., aged seventy-seven years. Mrs. Lupton was born in Connecticut, November 26, 1845 and with her husband, she had resided in Elmira a period of fifty-six years. The family resided many years in the family home, 447 West Fifth street and were highly respected. Mrs. Lupton had been a member of the First Baptist Church of this city many years and in her latter years she had been unable to attend the services in the church but continued her interest in the Home Department of that church. She had been in her usual condition of health until Wednesday afternoon and the close of her useful life came unexpectedly and quietly. She is survived by her husband, Henry Lupton a veteran builder in Elmira for a half century; two sons, Wilbur of Wilwana and Charles of Elmira Heights. The remains have been removed to the old family home on West Fifth street where the funeral will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock. Burial in Woodlawn cemetery.
