Everett 'Pat' Eatherton
WHITEWOOD -- Services for Everett "Pat" Eatherton, 81, Whitewood, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church at Piedmont, with burial in Whitewood Cemetery.
The Rev. Randy Hogarth will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Carlsen-Jolley Funeral Home at Sturgis and at the church for one hour before the service.
Eatherton died Friday at Meadowbrook Manor in Rapid City.
He was born Nov. 27, 1909, at Rock Springs, Wyo., to Harry and Frances (Eastwood) Eatherton and lived with his family lived at several places around the Midwest.
In 1927, he moved from Chamberlain to the Black Hills, where he was a driver for Termes Trucking of Whitewood and a warehouse manager at Rapid City for Red Owl Stores.
In 1927, he married Myrtle Bergevin.
In 1957, he married Lydia Schnabel. They lived at Anaconda, Mont., where he worked for Anaconda Copper Co.
Retiring in 1974, they moved to Lodi, Calif, where she died.
Shortly afterward, he returned to Montana, then moved to Custer, where he married Thelma Archer. She died in 1984. and in July of that year he moved to Piedmont.
He was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, Senior Citizens at Custer and at Piedmont and Grace United Methodist Church al Piedmont. Among the survivors is a son, Darrel Eatherton, Gig Harbor, Wash.; three daughters, Patricia Williams on Belleville, Ill., Marjorie Willis of Wichita, Kan., and Karen Bass of Ceritos, Calif.; a sister, Grace Thomas of Piedmont; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.

Lydla Eaihorton, 73, dies
Lydia Schnabel Eatherton, 73, Lodi, Calif., wife of Everett "Pat" Eatherton and a former resident of Opportunity, died Monday in Lodi.
Services will be held at the Gates Funeral Home, Aberdeen, S. D., at 2 Friday. Burial will take place there.
Mrs. Eatherton was a longtime resident of Opportunity. Mr. and Mrs. Eatherton left a year ago to make their home in California.
Mrs. Eatherton was preceeded in death by her first husband, August Schnabel, who died in January 1952. She and Mr. Eatherton married in 1957 and resided in Opportunity until moving to California.
Surviving besides her husband are sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schnabel and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Schnabel, all of Lodi, Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Schanbel, Evansville, Wis., Mr, and Mrs. Marvin E. Schnabel and Mr. and Mrs. Melbert Schnabel, all of Anaconda, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schnabel, Butte; sons-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar (Val) Schorzman, Parsons, Tex., Mr. and Mrs. Elmer (Florence) Fredrickson, Huron, S. D. and Mr. and Mrs. Verlin (Arlene) Windedahl, Lead. S. D.; several brothers and sisters, 26 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
