Death of Naomi Notestine.
It is with sadness this community learned of the death of Mrs. Naomi Notestine. She passed away at 8:30 Sunday evening, Jan. 23, 1910. She was born in Williams county, Ohio, Dec. 14, 1846. Her maiden name was Burdick.
She was united in marriage to Jacob Asbery Notestine on April 29, 1866. To this union was born eight children, four sons and four daughters, of whom seven are living, one dying in infancy. A husband and seven children survive her, six of whom were with her during her last illness.
She joined the United Brethren church at the age of 19 and lived a Christian life, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was a loving wife and mother, and was loved by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed in her home and the community.
Funeral services were held from the M.E. church, Tuesday forenoon at eleven o'clock, Rev. E.M. Smith, officiating. Interment in Oxford cemetery.
