Birchard E. Norton
CHARLOTTE -- Birchard E. Norton, 78, of 639 Beech St., died Sunday, Sept. 11, at home after a long illness.
He was born in St. Johns and came to Charlotte in 1946. He was employed by Fischer Body in Lansing 35 1/2 years.
Surviving are his wife, the former Shirley Owen; daughters, Mary Osman of Grand Ledge, Gail Williams of Hastings, Kathleen Jones of Onondaga and Bonnie Kelley and Leria Hall of Charlotte; sons, Larry Owen of California and Duane Norton of Owosso; 23 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pray Funeral Home.
