Audrey D. Sackett , age 89, of Grand Rapids, MN, died Sunday January 8, 2012 at Manor House Memory Care in Grand Rapids, MN.
Audrey was born in 1922 to Ad Lore and Myrtle Gamache in Grand Rapids, MN where she grew up and attended schools. Audrey was united in marriage to Vernon L. Sackett on December 9, 1941 in Grand Rapids, MN. She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Audrey is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon; one son, Richard Sackett; one sister; and five brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Sue (Mark) Scully of St. Louis Park, MN; six sons, Kenneth (Carolyn) Sackett of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mike (Joy) Sackett of Grand Rapids, MN, Jim Sackett of Grand Rapids, MN, Mark (Cathy) Sackett of Maple Grove, MN, Clifford (Elizabeth) Sackett of Fridley, MN, and Marty Sackett of Minneapolis, MN; one sister, Betty Troumbley of Taconite, MN; one daughter-in-law, Carol Sackett of Collierville, TN; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 from 4-6 P.M. at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids. Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10 A.M. at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, MN. Rev. Fr. Jerry Weiss will officiate. Burial will be in Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN
