- Obituary - Newaygo County Republican, 8 December 1904:
“Ida Frances Harden, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.L. Harden, was born in Newaygo, Mich., July 25th, 1887, and died at her home in Newaygo, November 16, 1904.
At the age of three years she moved with her parents to Medina, Ohio, and after residing there nine years returned to Newaygo where she resided until she was called to her Father above.
She had many friends in each place of residence and also many school friends. In September, 1904, it became necessary for her to give up her school and prepare for a home beyond and when the end came she was willing and ready to go. She leaves to mourn her loss, a mother, father, two brothers and a sister.
Through oversight this item has been neglected.”
