Wayne B. Colvin, 83, of this community died Sunday at Community Medical Center in Dover Township.
For over 50 years, he was an illustrator in New York for a leading magazine and national advertising company. He was also very active in television's experimental stages.
Mr. Colvin also worked for N.W. Ayer and Ted Bates Advertising Agencies, where he was a television creative coordinator, writer and director. He was educated at DePaul University and attended the Chicago Art Institute.
Born in Indiana, he moved to New York in the early 1930s. He worked in the advertising department for the Chicago Tribune and later became a partner in the design and art studio of Jacobsen, Harringer and Colvin.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy.
Services are private. Arrangements are by Layton's Home for Funerals.
