Mrs. G. R. Hunt, Sr., received a telegram from New York yesterday announcing the serious illness of her niece, Mrs. Wright Barclay, who has a dangerous case of pneumonia.
Mrs. Barclay, who was married on Tuesday, June 23, had just returned from her wedding trip when she was taken ill.
She was Miss Louise Mitchell, of this city, and by her first marriage was a Mrs. Venable.
Her mother, Mrs. Blanche Mitchell, and her sister, Mrs. Alfred Johnson, are now with her.

Mrs. Louise Venable and Wright Barclay, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Barclay, will be married in the Church of the Transfiguration on Tuesday, June 23. Mr. Barclay's best man will be his brother, Henry A. Barclay, Jr.

A new fashion was inaugurated in New York at the marriage of Mrs. Louise Fontaine Venable to Wright Barclay, which took place at 3:00 in the chapel of the Church of the Transfiguration.
It was in the matter of giving the bride away, which was done by her mother, Mrs. Edward Moore Mitchell.
Mrs. Mitchell occupied the front pew on the bride's side of the chapel and when the Rev. Dr. George Clark Houghton, the rector, asked "Who giveth this woman to be married?" Mrs. Mitchell nodded her head without leaving her seat to signify that she did.
