- Identifying Weygant's # 1711 Miss ______ Sackett (p. 165) as Maria "Polly" Sacket, the wife of Eldad Skinner is based upon a statement in the biography of Eldad:
"Eldad married Maria Sackett on June 20, 1793 in Bolton. She was known as Polly and she was the daughter of Dr. John[sic] Sackett and Chloe Atherton Sackett of Amenia, New York, a tiny village near the Hudson River."
Note: The biography is wrong concerning the husband of Chloe Atherton. Chloe was married to Richard Sackett, a son of Dr. John Sackett and Elizabeth Masten. - [Thurmon King]
