HUME In a radio message yesterday from Wai, India, to the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, Boston, the death of Mrs Robert A. Hume, widow of Dr Robert A. Hume, was announced. Dr and Mrs Hume were retired In 1927 by the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, after nearly a half-century of service in India. Mr Hume died in 1929. Mrs Hume was the daughter of Rev Samuel Fairbank, who went to India in 1846. She was educated at Bradford Academy, Bradford, and Mt Holyoke College, and sailed for India in 1882, being stationed at Ahmednagar. In 1887 she married Dr Hume. Since her husband's death Mrs Hume had made her home with her son, Dr Walter F. Hume in Wai. Mrs Hume is survived by three sons and a daughter, Wilson M. Hume, Y. M. C. A. secretary in Lahore, India; Dr Walter Fairbank Hume of the Wai Hospital, Wai, India; Henry Wood Hume, a business man of Albany, N Y, and Mrs Mary Hume Maguire of 104 Lakeview av, Cambridge, wife of Prof John M.
