Peter J. Chiochios
WATERSMEET, Mich. -- Peter J. Chiochios, 79, of Watersmeet, died Monday, June 22, 1998, at the Lillian E. Kerr Nursing Home in Phelps, Wis.
He was born on Aug. 11, 1918, in Bessemer. Peter, formerly of Waukegan, Ill., had lived in the Land O' Lakes-Watersmeet area for the past three years.
Mr. Chiochios served in the United States Army-Air Force during World War II. He was retired from the state of Illinois Tollway system. He was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Patrice F. Chiochioa, Watersmeet; a •on, Harry Mark (Peggy) Chiochios, Waukegan; two daughters, Pamalia (Scott) Beggs, Seabeck, Wash., and Theresa Terri" (Homer) Cox, Plymouth, Minn.; five sisters, Angeline, Athens and Tula, all of Chicago, Georgia, of Virginia, and Sandra, Merrill, Wis.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Ernie; and a sister, Irene.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church in Land O' Lakes, with the Rev. John A. Siedachlag Sr., officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Minocqua, Wis.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the Hope Lutheran Church, Land O' Lakes, Wis.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home, Eagle River, Wis., is in charge of arrangements.

Lera Estelle Cox, former resident of Okolona, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Okolona Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lon Euler of Fultondale, Ala., and the Rev. Allen Bailey of Starkville officiating. Burial followed in the Okolona Cemetery with the Okolona Funeral Home in charge of Arrangements.
Mrs. Cox, who was 81 years of age, died Sunday morning at 8:40 o'clock in the Lloyd Nolan Hospital in Fairfield, Ala.
She leaves one daughter, Lera Mae Gant of Fultondale, Ala.; three sons, Thomas B. Cox of San Antonio, Texas, Jack M. Cox of Tupelo, and Homer S. Cox of Sherwood, Ark.; one sister Edith Mansell Lindley of Tupelo; one brother, Billy E. Miller of Tupelo; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Cox Homer S., age 67, of Plymouth. Homer passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Mississippi, Homer exemplified the loving husband and father. A true Southerner at heart, Homer developed an unparalleled passion for football at his alma mater of Ole Miss, which would prove to forever unite him with his children. It was Homer's tradition and integrity that defined him best - traits of the strong-willed Southern gentleman. He used these to further his career, excelling with Abbott Laboratories for 22 years. Following a short retirement, Homer began his own business, Career Marketing Consultants, in which he helped ignite the careers and aspirations of thousands. Homer is survived by his wife, Terry, of 27 years; three sons, Gregg, Glynn and Justin Cox; daughter, Dennie Parsons; four grandchildren; sister, Lera Gant and other relatives and friends.
