Rev. C. F. Waters of Banning First Baptist Church officiated at the services in Wiefeis and Son Chapel. Interment was in Sunnyslope Cemetery. Lamkin, native of Macon County, Mo., had made his home in Banning since 1922. Prior to retirement two years ago, he was a local star route mail carrier. Lamkin leaves his wife Dolly; three daughters, Ethel Atchley of Gardena, June Freeman of Formose, and Bernice Hall of Mentone; a son, Charles D. Lamkin of Cathedral City; sister, Jesse Wehrle of Center Colo.; and eight grandchildren.
