John Eleazar is also spelled as Eleazer with an e.
He was born Dec 29, 1850 in Hadley, Homer Twp, Will Co., IL, and died Feb 3, 1902 in Greenvale Twp., Dakota Co., MN.
He is the husband of Mary Elizabeth Withers (Matie).
They both died of pneumonia though many years apart.
John E. grew up on the old Simpson homestead farm about a mile from his future wife to be Matie Withers.
John Eleazar's own portion of the original Simpson farm was 80 acres, purchased from his father John J. Simpson on Feb 5, 1880 for one dollar and other 'valuable considerations'.
John Eleazar built a new house on the new 80 acre farmstead probably in 1882 and 1883. He married Mattie Oct 31, 1883 and moved her into the new house.
Their farm was located in Greenvale Twp., about a mile and a half due west from the village of Waterford (town now mostly gone from that area) and 2 miles north from the town of Northfield.
His parent's (John (3) J. Simpson & Sarah Strong Porter) farm, was originally part of Sarah's parent's (Dr. Moses Porter and Martha Alvord Snell) land.
=====================================
John Eleazar was in the following censuses in MN, with his parents and siblings (see his father John3 Simpson's notes for the full list)= 1857, 1860, 1870, 1875 and 1880.
=====================================
John Eleazar was a Dairy, Veal, Livestock & Crop Farmer in Greenvale Twp., Dakota Co., MN.
