Mary Everts Is Married
OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL CHURCH in West Endicott was the scene Saturday of the marriage of Miss Mary Letitia Everts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton D. Everts of 128 West Wendell Street, Endicott, to Dayton L. Noteware, son of Mrs. Clayton W. Noteware of 1705-1/2 Riverview Drive, Endicott.
The Rev. Charles O'Farrell performed the double-ring rites before an altar decorated with poinsettias. A program of wedding music was presented by Henry Murray, organist.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Frank C. Baldwin of Long Island. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Clifford M. Clark, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Robert C. Everts, sister-in-law of the bride. Clifford W. Clark was best man, while Earl J. Quant and Francis J. Kane ushered.
The bride and her attendants were all gowned in velvet. The bride's gown was white, styled with 'a sweetheart neckline, basque waistline, long sleeves pointed at the wrists and a court train. White ostrich plumes held her fingertip veil and she carried a prayer book arrayed with camellias and white streamers.
Mrs. Baldwin's gown was rust velvet worn with a headdress of rust veiling and ostrich tip plumes. She carried a bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids, gowned alike in blue velvet with matching blue headdresses of plumes and veiling, carried yellow chrysanthemum bouquets.
Mrs. Everts, mother of the bride, chose, a fuchsia ensemble with black and white accessories and a corsage of white carnations while Mrs. Noteware, mother of the bridegroom, appeared in a purple outfit with white accessories and a white carnation corsage.
When the couple left for a short wedding trip Mrs. Noteware was wearing a moss green suit with rust accessories under a gray coat trimmed with Bombay lamb. With it she had a corsage of camellias.
Upon their return the couple will reside in 310 East Main Street, Endicott. Mrs. Noteware, a graduate of Union-Endicott High School, is with the Endicott Trust Co. Mr. Noteware, also a graduate, was recently discharged from the army after serving in Europe 29 months. He is with International Business Machines Corp.
