CROUSE -- Ozell Hallman McGinnis, 82, of 2852 St. Mark?s Church Rd. died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at Presbyterian Hospital Charlotte.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Crouse, with the Rev. Ted Goins officiating. Burial is in Cherryvilie City Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Carpenter's Funeral Home, Cherryvilie.
Born May 11, 1915, in Gaston County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Donnie Goins Hallman. Mrs. McGinnis retired from Casandra Shops and Ozell's Fashions with 20 years service in retailing. She was a resident for 63 years of Homestead, FL, where she was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Russell D. McGinnis; two daughters, Judy Sackett of Homestead, FL, and Johnnie Vaughn of Endicott, NY; one brother, Evan Hallman of Lincolnton; one sister, Virginia Eaker of Bessemer City; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
