Ona June Ivers
June 8, 1910 -- June 26, 1999
CORVALLIS - Ona June Ivers, 89, of Corvallis died Saturday at Heart of the Valley Care Center.
She was born and grew up in North Platte, Neb., the daughter of Elden and Agnes (Spicer) Hardenbrook. She graduated from high school in 1930.
She married Fred Rife Dec. 12, 1945, in Reno, Nev. They settled in the Philomath/Corvallis area. Mr. Rife died April 13, 1971.
She married Arthur Ivers Aug. 25, 1972; he died Aug. 5, 1980.
Mrs. Ivers was a homemaker and was very active. She was a rockhound and enjoyed quilting blankets, crocheting and knitting for veterans hospitals.
She belonged to the Zion Lutheran Church, was a member and past president of the World War I Auxiliary and a life member of the American Lebanon Auxiliary and a life member of the Senior Citizen's Council of Corvallis.
Surviving are brother Glen Hardenbrook of Corvallis; stepchildren Mary Hardenbrook and Joe Ivers, both of Corvallis, Fred Ivers of Long Beach, Calif., and Jim Ivers of New Jersey; seven step-grandchildren; a step-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-ll a.m. Wednesday at McHenry Funeral Home. Mrs. Ivers' funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor John Rehley officiating.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or the Benton Hospice Service, in care of McHenry Funeral Home, 206 N.W. Fifth St., Corvallis, Ore. 97330.

Services Tuesday For Carl T. Hardenbrook
Carl T. Hardenbrook, 64, of Louisville died Saturday, Sept. 17, at Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Qmaha.
He was born in Nebraska to Eldon and Agnes Hardenbrook on June 6, 1913. He was married to Thelma Brubaker on Nov. 20, 1941.
Mr. Hardenbrook was a truck driver and lived in North Platte until moving to Louisville in 1957. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, Louisville.
Services will be held at the Faith Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20. with the Rev. Everett Sileven officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Floral Lawns Cemetery, North Platte.
Survivors inplude his mother, Mrs. Agnes Nole, North Platte; his wife, Thelma; stepchildren, Mrs. James (Ellen) Blythman, North Platte, Verlie Henry, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Larry (Eileen) Dickey, North Platte, and Wilbur Henry, Portland, Ore.; brothers, Delbert of Newport,' Ore., Howard of Roseburg, Ore., and Glenn of Corvalis, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Art (Ona) Ivers of Corvalis, Ore.; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Fusselman-Perry Funeral Home, Louisville, is in charge of arrangements.
