The Berkshire County Eagle (Pittsfield, Massachusetts), 5 May 1920, Page 2 MRS. IRENE H. FRANCIS Mrs. Irene H. Francis, 82, widow of Mortimer D. Francis, died this morning at her home, 76 Woodleigh avenue. She was the daughter of Henry F. and Elvira E. Hall of Richmond. She was born April 18 1838, and was married on September 25, 1861. She was a graduate of Miss Clara Wells' seminary of this city, class of 1859, and is the last surviving member of her class, the other members having been Miss Lottie B. Johnson of Providence, R. I., Mrs. Mary Langdon Lockwoqd Cochran of Stamford, Conn., and of Miss Susan K. Stevens of this city. She is survived by one son, Frederick H. Francis, employed at the Pittsfield National bank; one daughter, Miss Lillian I. Francis, and one granddaughter, Dorothy E. Francis. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home. Friends are asked to omit flowers. Rev. William M. Crane, pastor of the Congregational church of Richmond of which she was a member, will officiate and burial will be in the family lot in Pittsfield cemetery. Researched by Ted Smith
