Word has been received here of the death of Rev. Earle F. Palmer, 91, Troy, N.Y., which occurred in his home on Saturday.
Dr. Palmer who served as pastor of the First Baptist Church. New Castle, from 1892 to 1901. was born July 2. 1867. After leaving this city, he served on the faculty of The College of the City of New York, continuing there as a teacher until his retirement in 1937. He was an honored visitor in New Castle in 1943 when the First Baptist Church marked its centennial. His last visit here was in 1946.
A daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Palmer, a physician and surgeon in Troy, N.Y., is his only immediate survivor.
Services were held today in Troy.
