      Nadine A. Powell

      WaKEENEY -- Nadine A. Powell, 63, WaKeeney, died Monday, Feb. 19,1996, at the Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.

      Mrs. Powell was born Nadine A. Zeman on April 10, 1932, in Trego County and was a resident of WaKeeney since 1989, moving from Elkhart. She was a nurse's aide at St. Anthony's Hospital, Hays, and Morton County Hospital, Elkhart. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Elkhart, and a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary 2774, WaKeeney.

      A daughter, Denise Wilson, preceded her in death.

      Survivors include two sons, Brent and Kent, both of Elkhart; a daughter, Ronda Fuller of Turpin, Okla.; her mother, Marie Hands of WaKeeney; a sister, Nathalie Mussemann of WaKeeney; and nine grandchildren.

      The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney, Pastor Randy Gibbs officiating. Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Elkhart Cemetery.

      Memorials may be made to charity of the donor's choice.

      The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home, 336 N. 12th, WaKeeney 67672.
