Clarence Eber Stewart
Birth 21 Aug 1900
Gem, Thomas County, Kansas, USA
Death 17 Jul 1937 (aged 36)
Yuma County, Colorado, USA
Burial
Kirk Cemetery
Kirk, Yuma County, Colorado, USA
Clarence Eber Stewart, second son of Joseph Clark and Alice Nora Stewart, was born at Gem, Kansas, August 21, 1900, and died at his home near Kirk on July 17, 1937, at the age of 36 years, 10 months and 26 days.
At the age of 13 he moved, with his parents, to Colorado and with the exception of seven years spent in California with his brother Harvey, had lived here until his death. For the past few months his health had been failing. He passed away at 1 p.m. July 17. One brother preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his passing besides his mother and father; three brothers, Harvey and Johnnie Stewart of Stratton, Colorado, and Joseph Stewart of Greeley; five sisters, Mrs. Edward Shore of Yuma, Mrs. Gene Guerin of Denver, Mrs. Dale Wheeler of Loveland, and Neva and Irene Stewart of Stratton; 13 nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Clarence was a good, kind boy and always so thoughtful and good to his parents and brothers and sisters, and was always willing to help a friend or neighbor when in need. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him as well as by the immediate family.
Funeral services were held at the Kirk high school auditorium, Tuesday, July 10 at 2 pm. with Rev. Cullis Smith of the Kirk Baptist church in charge. Interment was in the Kirk cemetery.--Yuma Pioneer, Thursday, July 29, 1937, Pg. 6
