Memorial ID 100611921 https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/100611921 Nelson Goodrich Birth 10 Nov 1816 Denmark, Lewis County, New York, USA Death 27 Aug 1900 (aged 83) La Fargeville, Jefferson County, New York, USA Burial Grove Cemetery La Fargeville, Jefferson County, New York, USA Obituary: "Nelson Goodrich, an old and respected citizen of this town, died at the home of his son, Lorenzo, who resides a few miles north of the village, Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 8 a.m. Although he had been in poor health for about a year, his death was unexpected. He had started for the home of another son, a short distance away, but had gone but a few rods when he had a sinking spell. His son, going at once to his assistance, helped him to the house ans summoned a physician, but he lived only a short time. The deceased was about 85 years old and leaves a large family to mourn his loss. He had been for years a faithful member of the M.P. church and also of the Masonic lodge of this place. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 3 at the M.P. church, Rev. Becker officiating, assisted by Rev. J.B. Wilds, of the M.E. church, and Rev. Whitbeck, of the Lutheran church at Orleans Four Corners, The Masons attended in a body and conducted the services at the grave."
