1113. Caleb G. Gleason (Sherman C., Jacob, Isaac, Isaac, Thomas) b. Benson, Vt., May 31, 1818; d. Malone, N.Y., May 30, 1893. He m. in Malonoe, N.Y., Feb. 21, 1850, Minerba Bradish, dau. of Luther and Olive (Kennedy) Bradish, who was b. in Malone, N.Y., Jan. 31, 1829, and d. in Malone, Feb. 23, 1891.
Children: 2262. I. Frederick Elisha, b. Sept. 23, 1851; d. Oct. 13, 1889.

Caleb G. Gleason was a farmer. In 1882 he moved to Malone, N.Y., where he lived until 1891, after which time he made his home with his son, Eric Caleb. He held a number of positions of trust and honor in Malone. His eldest son, Frederick E., was a dentist and mining expert. He learned his profession in Malone, practiced in Canton, N.Y., Deer Lodge City and Butte City, Mont. Removed to Montana in 1875, where he devoted his time to work as a mining expert. He was fatally burned in a large fire in Butte City, Mont. in 1889, while trying to save some of his books and papers.

In Apr 1828 he removed from Benson, Vt., to Malone, N.Y., where he cleared and improved the farm on which some of descendants still live.
