KNIFFEN, MARIE L. (nee Paddock), Tues., April 13, 1976, dear wife of the late Arthur L. Kniffen Sr., dear mother of Arthur L. Jr., Donald M., Murray A., Jason E. Kniffen and Mrs. Dalton Benson (nee Edna Kniffen), dear sister of Nina Alexander, Ruth Bell, Mary Stiles, Fred Paddock and Charles Paddock, our dear mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and cousin.
Mrs. Kniffen at the BOPP Chapel, 10610 Manchester rd., Kirkwood. Visitation 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thurs. Funeral Fri., 1:30 p.m. at the Webster Groves Christian Church, 1320 W. Lockwood. Interment Hiram Memorial Park. Mrs. Kniffen was a member of Kirkwood Chapter No. 358 O.E.S. O.E.S. service Thurs. 8 p.m.

Born January 22, 1926, in Lewistown, Montana, to Arthur L. and Marie L. (nee Paddock) Kniffen, and entered into rest, Saturday, April 28, 2012, at his residence, in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 6 days.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two (2) siblings, Arthur Kniffen and Donald Kniffen.
He is survived by his wife, Jennell (nee Edwards) Kniffen, of St. Louis, Missouri, (Married January 15, 1959), three (3) children, Douglas (Elizabeth) Kniffen, of Warrenton, Missouri, Grant (Donita) Kniffen, of O'Fallon, Missouri and Christine Kniffen, of St. Louis, Missouri, four (4) grandchildren, Lyra, Leo, Caleb and Leah, two (2) siblings, Edna (Dalton) Benson, of Nebraska and Jason (Mary) Kniffen, of Kirkwood, Missouri, and many other relatives and friends.
Murray was past president of several organizations including the Missouri Appraisal Institute, the St. Charles County Real Estate Board and the Missouri Right of Way Association. Additionally, he was a proud Scout Master, member of the Gideons and served in the United States Navy in World War II. He is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Edna Benson
Edna M. Benson, 87, of Fremont died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at Fremont Health Medical Center in Fremont.
Edna was born in Lewistown, Mont., on Feb. 13, 1928, to Arthur and Marie (Paddock) Kniffen.
She was raised in Lewistown until the age of 8. She lived in Tyndall, S.D., Rock Rapids, Iowa, and Lincoln. She was a 1945 graduate of Rock Rapids High School. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1950 with a degree in home economics and child development. She was a home economist for Central Electric and Gas in Lincoln. Edna married Dalton Benson in Lincoln on April 26, 1953. They moved to Fremont in 1959.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fremont, Hannah Circle at First Baptist, Fremont Midland Entertainment Series and was an officer and board member for them for more than 40 years. She was a former girls? 4-H leader and Girl Scout leader. She taught Sunday school for several years and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Dalton; sons, Merritt (and wife, Margaret) Benson of Casper, Wyo., and Reed (and wife, Mindy) Benson of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughters, Lorrie Benson of Lincoln and Marlys (and husband, Thomas) Golatz of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother, Jason Kniffen of St. Louis; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arthur Kniffen, Don Kniffen, and Murray Kniffen; and son-in-law, Robert Belson.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Fremont. The Revs. Leland Foreman and Scott Cady will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church in Fremont, the Fremont Midland Entertainment Series, and Low Income Ministries in Fremont.
