Lina Anderson, Athens Resident 44 Years, Dies
Lina L. Anderson, 78, of Athens died yesterday afternoon after a lingering illness.
Born in Ricketts, Pa., she lived the Valley for 44 years. She was member of the Church of God Athens.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by seven sons, Robert of Endicott, and Kenneth of Athens, Donald of Ventura, Calif., Clyde and Jack Pomona, Calif., and Ted of Waverly; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Quinn Elmira, Mrs. Sarah Kurtz of Fla., Mrs. Betty Perkins of Norfolk, Va. and Mrs. Jean Williamson Seattle, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clay Fuller of Sayre RD and Mrs. Edward DeWitt of Athens; one brother, Leon Johnson of York, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The body was taken to the Jenkins Funeral Home, 111 South Main where friends may call anytime 7:30 this evening and where services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock with Rev. W. Harold Sloan, pastor of Athens Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery.
