The former Mildred Marie Maston was born May 14, 1919, at Peoria, Ill., and received her education there. Her marriage to William Batterton took place Aug. 24, 1945, at Peoria, Ill.
After their marriage, the couple lived for a year at Peoria, Ill., then at Aurora, Wis., and later at Iron Mountain, Mich., before coming to Marshfield in 1963. Mrs. Batterton had been employed as a nurse's aide at St. Joseph's Hospital here.
In addition to her husband, survivors are three sons, Charles Meyer, Rock Island, Ill.; Dale Batterton, Auburndale; and Gale Batterton, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Roger (Margaret) Chilcote, Columbia Falls, Mont.; Lois and Kathleen Batterton, at home; her mother, Mrs. Hazel Schatz, Peoria, Ill.; a brother, James Maston, of California; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Anderson and Mrs. George (Hazel) Ewan, Canton, III.; and Mrs. Robert (Roberta) Kounce, Peoria, III.; and six grandchildren.
