King William Lamson spent the early part of his life in Woodbury, Conn. About 1800 he removed to Waterbury, Conn., where he became a prominent citizen. He changed his name to William King Lamson, perhaps because in the other form it had a

He was reappointed Jan. 11, 1816, and served until Aug. 7, 1819. For a while he was in business with his brother-in-law, James Scovill. About 1820 he removed to Berwick, Pa., and became a merchant there.
