The Rev. Dr. Preston will have the sympathy of the multitude of friends in the bereavement occasioned by the loss of his consort, Mrs. Caroline S. Preston, which occurred last evening. Mrs. Preston had attained the venerable age of seventy years, when she was :gathered by the reaper." She was a lady of rare excellence of the head and heart, and one who for her sympathetic nature, her kindly disposition and her mental culture, and christian (sic) graces, had won the highest respect and esteem of all who were privileged to enjoy her acquaintance.
