Mitchell5 Lampson (Nathaniel,4 William,3 Joseph,2 William1), was born at Stratford, Conn., Dec. 3, 1742, and died at Wood-
bury, Conn., Sept. 14, 1807. He married Thankfull King, daughter of Moses and Hester (Noble) King, Feb. 20, 1765, at Woodbury or Southbury, Conn. ; she was born at Great Harrington, Mass., May 7, 1742.
Mitchell Lampson, was a merchant, and a prominent citizen of Woodbury, Conn. He was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and contributed toward the erection of the new church edifice.
His will, dated Feb. 4, 1806, was proved Sept. 21, 1807, at Woodbury. His wife was to have one half of the house and furniture and also the use and improvement of one third of the real estate for life, except the store and pork house, the executor to pay her $50 annually. His son, King William, was to receive $500 and Alithea Scovill $200 over and above what they had already received. The remainder was to go to his son Nathaniel, who was to be the executor.
