FINE IS ONLY START OF THE FUN, SAYS SACKETT
LOS ANGELES, June 14.--The $!5 fine Judge Hawkins of Long Beach imposed upon Angus Sackett, arrested on the charge of violating the beach city?s anti-spooning ordinance, is only the start of the fun, Sackett declared today. His attorney, he states, has appealed the case, and will fight it in the higher courts.
Sackett holds that the law, in addition to being unconstitutional, is unjust.
"Why a man could be arrested for kissing his mother or sister under that ordinance," said Sackett. ?My arrest and fining were unjust. I was sitting in an automobile with the young girl whom I am engaged to marry, when a policeman came up and arrested me."
When asked whether he was kissing at the time and to tell where his arms were, Sackett stated he would make these public only at the trial, which he declared will furnish some fine reading material for the newspapers.

Mrs. Sackett Dies
Funeral services over the ashes of Mrs. Edna May Sackett, mother of Miss Alpha E. Sackett, 2212 McKinley St., will be held at 4 p. m Saturday at Williams mortuary.
Mrs. Sackett died at 4 p. m. Thursday at the Queen's hospital. She was born in Beaver City, Utah.
Surviving are Miss Sackett of Honolulu, two sons in Los Angeles, A. Ted Sackett and Charles G. Sackett, and four sisters on the mainland Mrs. Eva Hodges of Salt Lake City Utah, Mrs. Hattie Christian of San Francisco, Mrs. Ada Holdaway of Inglewood. Cal.. and Mrs. Clara Murdock of Milford, Utah.

Alpha Sackett Engaged To Californian
Angus Theodore Sackett of Lcs Angeles has announced the engagement cf his sister, Miss Alpha Edna Sackett, to William Rowland MacCormack of Pasadena, Cal. The marriage is planned for late December in Los Angeles.
The betrothal was revealed to Honolulu friends at a tea given in the garden of Mr. and Mrs. Earl G. Hedemark'a Kahala home on Sunday.
The bride elect, who has been with Csstle and Cooke for the past 13 years, is sailing on December 19 en route to southern California for her wedding.
Her fiance is with Merrill, Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Beane, stock brokers in Pasadena, where the couple plan to make their home.

Another Interesting wedding of the week was that of Miss Dorothy Thurston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert G. Thurston, and Angus Theodore Sackett on Tuesday evening at the home of the bride's parents, 296 South Lake avenue. Rev. John M. Dean, pastor of the First Baptist Church, performed the service in the presence of seventy-five friends and relatives. The bride, who wore a gown of white Chantilly lace, was attended by Mrs. Earl Sturgis, matron of honor. Miss Evalynn Rice of San Diego and Miss Alitha Sackett, sister of the bridegroom. Charles Sackett acted as best man for his brother. After the cere mony an informal reception was held. Mr. and Mrs. Sackett are spending their honeymoon on a .motor trip In the north. They will make their permanent home In Los Angeles.
