BOSTWICK, Clinton R. - Of Burton, age 89, died Monday, November 21, 2011at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Pastor Phil Owen and Rev. Patrick Stybert officiating. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park with military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Clinton was born December 3, 1921 in Hoxeyville, MI to the late Charles and Hazel (Brooks) Bostwick. He resided in Burton the past 61 years. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army during WW II as an Engineer. Clinton married Susan Buben on June 20, 1944. She preceded him in death on December 2, 2009. He was a carpenter for over 60 years most recently with Wm. H. Hall and Co. Mr. Bostwick was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and a life member of the Davison VFW Post #4087. He enjoyed being with his family, hunting, fishing and going up north. Surviving are: children, Barbara (Gil) Richardson of SC, Bonnie Mills of Davison, John (Sarah) Bostwick of Clio, Daniel Bostwick of Burton, David (Giuseppa) Bostwick of Owosso and Judy Bostwick of Vassar; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: 3 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Melvin and Darwin. Special thanks to his 2 devoted caregivers.
