LAURENCE CARLIN
RIDGEVILLE, Ind. ? Laurence "Yogi" Carlin, age 67, 3149 East 800 South, Ridgeville, passed away Sunday morning Feb. 22, 2o015, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 17, 1947, in Richmond the son of Francis and Martha (Haworth) Carlin. He was married Dec. 7, 1974, to Joyce L. Baker who survives. He was retired from Union City Body Company.
Surviving are his wife Joyce, three sons Robert Carlin of Portland, Michael Carlin (wife Ashley) of Portland and Robbie Carlin (wife Michelle) of Ft. Recovery, two daughters Mrs. Danny (Lisa) Sullivan of Portland and Mrs. Jeremy (Amy) Horman of Winchester, one brother Ron Carlin of Portland, one sister Mrs. Jerry (Sue) Hartley of Portland, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son Gary and a grandson Matthew.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Gates presiding. Burial will follow in the Lawndale Cemetery in Ridgeville. Francis J. Carlin, 65; Retired Truck Driver
RIDGEVILLE, Ind. - Francis J. Carlin, 65, R.R. 2, died Thursday in Orlando, Fla., following a short illness. A native of Milton, Ind., he was a retired truck driver for Interstate Truck Lines.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Hayworth Carlin; two sons, Ronald Carlin, Ridgeville, and Lawrence Carlin, Portland; one daughter, Sue Hartley, Portland; one brother, five sisters and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at .1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Baird-Freeman Funeral Home at Portland with Rev. Gene Betts officiating. Burial will follow in Lawn-dale Cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Monday.

Carolyn L. Conley
Carolyn Lee (Carlin) Conley, 66, died at Reid Hospital Saturday morning, Feb. 7, 2009, with all her family at her side.
She was born Oct. 7, 1942, to Francis J. and Viola (sic) M. Alverson Carlin (sic) in Fall Rock, Ky., and lived in Richmond all her life.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing bingo.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Duane A. Conley whom she married Dec. 2, 2008; four daughters, Brenda L. Van de Water (Chip), Bonnie K. Hampton (Eddie) of Richmond, Barbara J. McKinney (Gary)of Lynn, and Carolyn R. Hampton (Tony) of Whitesburg, Ky.; one son, Richard R. Sawyer (Lucy) of Richmond; one stepdaughter, Duana Carlin (Joe); two sisters, Hazel Alverson of Lakeland, Fla., and Susie Hartley of Portland; five brothers, Ben Alverson of Richmond, Donald Berg of Austin, Texas, Everett Carlin of Louisville, Ky., Lawrence and Ronald Carlin of Portland; none grandchildren, Dustin and Brandon Van de Water, Brandi Arroyo, Leann Hampton, James and John Sawyer, Travis and Courtney Hampton, and Joshua Harrison; eight great-grandchildren, Michael, Robert, Trista, Jasmine, Jordan, Joshua, Justice and Hayden.
She is preceded in death by her son, Robert in 1995; the father of her children, Charles (Bob) Sawyer in 1998; one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, 222 N. 10th St., Richmond. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Martha K. Carlin
PORTLAND, Ind. -- Martha K. Carlin, age 88, a resident of Portland, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at her home in Portland.
Martha was born on March 6, 1924, in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Laurence and Delsie (Sackett) Haworth. She graduated from Saratoga High School in 1942 and worked at the Portland License Branch for several years. Martha attended Boundary Church. She married Frances Carlin in 1945 and he passed away on April 3, 1980.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronald Carlin (wife Jane) - rural Portland, Indiana and Laurence Carlin (wife Joyce) - rural Portland, Indiana; daughter Sue Hartley (husband Jerry) - Portland, Indiana; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Lawndale Cemetery, east of Ridgeville.
Arrangements by Williamson and Spencer Funeral Homes in Portland.
