      Daniel (Dan) Sackett, 82, was born in Pampa, TX to James and Lucy Sackett on February 7, 1938.

      Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 14, 2020 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Curtis Shackelford officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

      He graduated from Pampa High School and held various careers before joining the Navy. He served from 1958-1962 on a Reefer and on a Fleet carrier. Upon returning home he made his way to Amarillo, Texas and went to work as a comptroller for Budweiser. In 1975, he franchised five Baskin Robbins stores. Later, Dan went back to school and became an Insurance agent for Mutual of Omaha and pursued his realtor license and went to work for Jane Elliott ERA.

      He married Audrey Goodwin in Albuquerque on July 1, 1958 until her passing on June 15, 2000. He married Bonnie Faust on September 30, 2000 until her passing on October 5, 2019.

      Dan battled with Non-Hodgkin?s Lymphoma and acute kidney failure. Despite all of this he maintained his Christian faith. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren at Six Flags, boating, fishing, and riding motorcycles. One of his favorite past times was watching the grandkids play sports or attending programs at schools. Dan lived by one motto: Work hard and play as hard as you work.

      Preceded in death by parents James and Lucy Sackett and eight siblings. Also survived by one brother Paul Sackett and wife Martha of Lewisville, and one sister Dana Sue Bishop of Victoria, and several nieces and nephews.

      Also preceded in death by wife, Audrey Sackett. Survived by their three children; son Danny Sackett and wife Cinda of Amarillo; two daughters, Tammie Sackett and Steve Striley of Amarillo, and Lucy Holmes of Amarillo. Survived by eight grandchildren, Julie Gonzales and husband Aaron, Heather Young and husband J.R., Dylan Holmes and wife Tessa, Moria Register and husband Chris, Dawn Taylor and husband Chris, Thomas Nokes and wife Ereka, Nick Sackett and wife Lauryn, Janetta Sackett, and eleven great-grandchildren with one on the way, and one great-great grandchild.

      Also preceded in death by wife Bonnie Sackett and sons Clay Payte and Leslie Caldwell. Survived by son Ricky Caldwell, and daughter Vickie Roberts and husband Edward; and two daughters-in-law Kelly Payte and Sandee Caldwell. Survived by grandchildren Justin Payte, Cody Payte, and Jordan Payte.

      Services for Vera Sackett Cornett, 79, of Lubbock will be 11 a.m. Wednesday May 7, 2003 at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Rev. Paul Sackett officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock.

      She passed way on May 4, 2003 in Lubbock. She was born on July 5, 1923 in Pampa, TX to James Daniel Sackett and Myrtle Mundy Sackett. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1941 and attended McMurry College in Abilene. She married John E. Cornett on May 2, 1946 in Lefors, TX. She was a designer for Roberta's Flowers in Pampa for many years. She retired from Sears in 1983 after 20 years of service. She was employed in the Lubbock, Midland, and Richardson offices.

      She is survived by her husband; daughter Johnnye Sue Herald of Lubbock; son Bo Cornett and wife Sherri of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Brenda Herald Rowan and husband Ted of Springlake,TX,Tiffany Cornett Weddel and husband Jason of Lantana, TX and Mike Herald of Lubbock; three sisters, Ruby Frost of Happy, TX, Billie Enterline of Long Beach, CA, and Danna Sue Bishop of Corpus Christi,TX; and four brothers, Floyd Sackett of Pampa, TX, Paul Sackett of Lewisville, TX, Dan Sackett of Amarillo, TX, and C.H.       Floyd Sackett, 86, of Pampa passed away on August 20, 2020 in Pampa.

      Private family service will be Saturday, September 5, 2020 at First Presbyterian Church in Pampa with Rev. Ed Sackett and Rev. Dr. Ken McIntosh, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. His body was donated to Texas Tech Willed Body Program in Lubbock.

      Floyd was born June 17, 1934 in Pampa to Jim and Lucy Sackett. He was a 1952 Pampa High School graduate and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from McMurry University in Abilene. He furthered his education from West Texas State University obtaining his Master of Education Administration. Floyd married Janice Allman on June 15, 1957 in Hale Center. His first job after they married was in Sweetwater, where he served as the associate pastor of First United Methodist Church for a short period. In 1959, they moved to Pampa where he began his teaching career at Pampa Junior High. Later he moved to Robert E. Lee and served as assistant principal, and then became principal at Baker Elementary for 10 years. During his time as principal he was a keynote speaker for the National Education Association conventions. Floyd was an originator in mainstreaming special needs kids into the classrooms, individual teaching instruction, vertical education, and helped create diagnostic systems for children with learning disabilities. Floyd took a break from teaching for 10 years and worked as the executive director of the Pampa Chamber of Commerce, during this time he received an award from PRCA for his work with the Top O? Texas Rodeo Association. He returned to Pampa High School in 1994 to serve as an assistant principal and finally retired in 2004.

      Floyd organized the Tri State Seniors Golf tournaments for over 20 years. He was a long-time member of the Pampa Lions Club where he served as the District Governor of 2T-1 from 1971-1972, also served on the board at the Texas Lions Cripple Children's Camp in Kerrville. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, First Presbyterian Church, and Pampa Retired Teachers Association. Floyd enjoyed playing golf, reading, doing in wood inlay, and his Friday night poker games with his friends. He loved his family and will be missed.

      He is preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings.

      Survivors include his wife, Janice Sackett of the home; a son, Rev. Ed Sackett and fiance Dr. Lynette Watkins of San Antonio; 3 grandchildren, Lindsey McDowell and husband Brad and Lola Sackett all of Orlando, Florida and Karen Joy Turley of Logan, Utah; 2 great grandchildren, Eli McDowell and Emmy McDowell; 2 sisters, Billie Enterline of Long Beach, California and Dana Sue Bishop of Victoria; 2 brothers, Paul Sackett and wife Martha of Lewisville and Dan Sackett of Amarillo.

      Bonnie was born on June 20, 1935 in Hagerman, New Mexico to Lewis H. Pillars and Mary Myrtle Furlong. She married Dan Sackett on September 30, 2000. She raised her children with love and worked many years as a hairdresser and a homemaker.

      Bonnie was a member of the Assembly God Church, she loved the Lord and had faith in God.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Leslie W. Caldwell and George C. Payte; and nine brothers and sisters, Lola Ambercrumbie, L.W. Pillers, Letha Reynolds, Frances Kimbrell, William Burns, Grace Woliver, Donald Burns and Edith Love;

      She is survived by a daughter, Vickie Lynn Roberts and husband Edward of Hugo, Oklahoma; a son, Charles R. Caldwell of Amarillo; and two daughters-in-law, Sandee Caldwell and Kelly Payte, both of Amarillo; three step children Danny Sackett and wife Cinda of Amarillo; Tammie Sackett and Steve of Amarillo; Lucy Holmes of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Amy Myrick, Jason Pruitt, Justin, Cody and Jordan Payte; step-grandchildren, Moria Register, Julie Gonzales, Thomas Nokes, Nick Sackett, Heather Young; Janetta Sackett; Dylan Homes and Dawn Taylor; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a lot of cousins.

      The family will receive friends from 6 - 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
