SEBRING, Fla. ? Terry Lee Sabo, age 66, of Sebring, Fla., died Monday, August 10, 2015, surrounded by her family, at Florida Hospital, Sebring, Fla.
Terry was born on May 3, 1949, in Conneaut, the daughter of Leo and Josephine (Mecci) Sackett. She was a 1968 graduate of Conneaut High School.
While raising her family she worked for several years as a waitress.
Terry was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Avon Park, Fla. and the Red Hat Society.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, dancing, music from the 60?s and 70?s. Terry especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Terry was also very proud of her catering business which she owned and operated during the 1980?s and also loved to volunteer her time for the ?Make A Wish Foundation?.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Gregory Michael; brothers, Leo ?Mickey? Sackett and John Sackett; niece, Tammi Schultz; and nephew, Tom ?Bo? Eckonen.
Terry is survived by her husband, David Sabo of Sebring, Fla., whom she married Feb. 22, 1969; daughters, Lisa Nagy (Shawn) of Erie, Pa, Stephanie Maleno (Jarrod) of Erie, Pa., and Gina Zmijewski (Richard) of Ypsilanti, Mich.; brother, James Sackett of Tennessee; sister, Georgina ?GiGi? and Joe Drnek of Andover, Ohio; six grandchildren, Joshua (Casey), Isabella, Gabriella, Richard Jr., David and Michael; great-granddaughter, Layla; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 18th, at RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor St, Conneaut.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 19th, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 480 State St., Conneaut, with Fr. Philip Miller, of Corpus Christi Parish, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Route 20, Conneaut.
