      Ruth and her husband. Sylvanus Canfield moved to Schuyler Falls, NY from Arlington, Vt in the late 1790's and were among the Pioneer settlers there. The home they lived in is listed in PIONEER HOMES OF CLINTON COUNTY by Allen Everest. Several additions have been added to it.
      The land area they owned was huge and grantor was Zephaniah Platt. I have a copy of that deed and others. They were able to give all their children who wanted it a chunk of land. It ended up being owned by Lawton Adcock.
