Pearl Catherine Levie, 77, a former Klamath Falls resident, died Oct. 19, 2001, at her Medford home.
A memorial service has been held in Medford.
Mrs. Levie was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Taylorsville, Utah, to Franklin and Lucy Butterfield.
She graduated from high school.
She married Dean Levie on Dec. 10, 1943, in Sioux Falls, S.D.
They moved to the Rogue Valley from Klamath Falls in 1995. While in Klamath Falls, Mrs. Levie was employed by Oregon Institute of Technology Food Service for 15 years.
She was a member of Merle West Medical Center Guild.
Among her interests were needlepoint and doing volunteer work at Providence Medford Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Levie; sons, Rex and Wayne Levie; daughters, Judy McQuay, Molly Shultz, Kaye Levie, Cathy Figueroa and Jennifer Monic; brothers, Dean and Stephen Butterfield; sisters, Faye Wetzel and Lucy Medek; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and a brother.

Monmouth - Dean H. Levie passed away in his Monmouth home with his daughter on September 7, 2013 at the age of 94. Dean was born January 23, 1919 in Alunite Mill, Utah, the oldest of six children born to Harvey and Ida Levie, and the last one living.
Dean was very proud of his service in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Pearl Catherine Butterfield on December 10, 1943 in Sioux Falls, SD. They had 8 children.
For many years, Dean was a city building inspector in Baldwin Park, CA and Klamath Falls, OR. He also worked as a carpenter, and retired in 1981. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. In 1981 he began bringing holiday cheer to parties as Santa. He loved it, and continued until 2010.
Dean was preceded in death by his wife, four children, parents and all his siblings. He is survived by four children, 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Dean?s honor on Thursday, September 12, 11 am at the Monmouth LDS Church, 783 Church St W, Monmouth. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
