WAKARUSA -- Francis Neil Lundry, 77, Wakarusa, died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Lundry was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for many years before he retired in 1984. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was born May 9, 1921, at Clay Center, the son of Clarence Emmett and Pearl Ann McIntyre Lundry. Mr. Lundry was a member of Philip Billard Post No. 1650 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Topeka, Military Order of Cooties, Pup Tent No. 3, Richland Post No. 0391 of the American Legion, Combat Air Museum, American Association of Retired Persons and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees No. 0222.
He also was a member of Quenemo Federated Church.
He was married to Mildred Viola Wise on Feb. 22, 1946, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Chris Alan Lundry, Topeka; a brother, Harlan E. Lundry, Topeka; a sister, Lillian Gragg, Manitou Springs, Colo.; and two grandsons.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Topeka.
Burial with graveside military services conducted by Post No. 1650 of the VFW will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.
Mr. Lundry will lie in state after noon today at the Penwell-Gabel Mid- Town Chapel in Topeka where relatives and frindns will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Philip Billard Post No. 1650 of the VFW, 3110 S.W. Huntoon, Topeka, 6604, or to the Disabled American Veterans, 2021 S.W. Moundview, Topeka, 66604.

TOPEKA
Lebo native Mildred V. Lundry, 79, who lived in Wakarusa, has been buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka. She died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2003, at a Topeka hospice house.
She was born Oct. 31, 1923, in Lebo, to James W. and Dora L. Cramer Wise. She married Francis N. Lundry on Feb. 22, 1946, in Topeka. He died March 18, 1999.
She is survived by a son, Chris Lundry of Topeka, and a brother, Ray Wise of San Clemente, Calif.; two grandsons also survive.
Mrs. Lundry worked for many years at Sears. Her memberships included Philip Billard Post 1650 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Military Order of the Cooties.
