Percy Ernest Sackett, son of Percy Ernest Sackett and Rose (Hoare) Harlow, was born in Bridge, Kent, on 22 April 1904 and baptized at St Mildred, Canterbury, Kent, on 1 February 1907. He died aged 75 in Canterbury in 1979. He married at Canterbury St Alphege on 15 March 1927, Patience Lewis, daughter of Thomas Lewis and ___ Wood. Patience was born in Dover, Kent, on 1 September 1907 and died aged 72 in CanterburyG in 1980.
In 1911 Percy was living at 3 New Ruttington Lane, Canterbury, Kent, in the household of his widowed mother Rose, and was recorded in the census as Percy Ernest Sackett, a schoolboy, aged seven and born in Canterbury.
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Percy and Patience were living at 20 St Gregory's Road, Canterbury. Percy was a lorry driver employed by the government.
