Dallas E. Addington, 83
PARKER CITY -- Dallas E. Addington, 83, of 322 Ohio St. died Monday in Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.
He was born to Robert G. and Mary Ermal Clevenger Addington on Nov, 22, 1917, in Randolph County.
Mr. Addington was a lifelong resident of Randolph County.
He was a retired farmer in Randolph County and had retired from Westinghouse (ABB). He also had served on the Parker City Town Board and was a member of Town Acres Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Nell Oliver Addington; a daughter, Pamela Reed, Parker City; a son, Kim Addington (wife: Cathy), Parker City; two sisters, Viola Hart and Rosemary Haworth; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Thornburg/Lightner Funeral Home. Rev. Randy Willis will officiate.
Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, south of Parker City.
The family will receive callers on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thornburg/Lightner Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Ann Oliver Scholarship Fund at the College Ave. United Methodist Church.
